US
Kids Golf World Championships |
Congratulations
to Luke Harries, Rhys Pugh and Tim Harry on their performances
at the US Kids Golf World Championships at Pinehurst recently.
All three qualified to play at the event in America by winning
their respective age categories at the UK Final of the HSBC
Wee Wonders competition.
Pictured left is Luke Harries, proudly flying the flag for
Wales. Luke finished a very creditable 21st out of 84 in the
Boys 6 and under category.
Meanwhile, Tim Harry finished as a very impressive runner-up
in the Boys under 8 age group and Rhys Pugh an equally respectable
4th in the U12 category.
Well done to all three Welsh Wee Wonders.

Gwent
go Close |
The first
meeting between the two counties of Gwent and Gloucestershire
at Under 16 and Under 14 level saw some see-saw matches played
in excellent spirit over the Cotswold Hills course on the outskirts
of Cheltenham for the U16's and at Monmouth Golf Club for the
U14's.
Both age groups played exceptionally well, even though they
both eventually lost.
