Beginner Schemes
Golf Development Wales’ main aim is to encourage ‘more golfers’ into the sports. We encourage clubs to run schemes to create more opportunities for all to take up the sport.
This year we will see the introduction of a generic Beginner Scheme available to clubs. With this scheme clubs identify the beginner group type they want to attract. For example, General Beginners, Dads and Lads, Families, Women & Girls etc. and run a scheme to encourage that particular group to take part. Promotional resources are also available such as posters.
Welcome Booklet
A new Welcome Booklet has been produced also sponsord by SWALEC which aims to support new golfers coming into club membership to get the most out of being a member. Welcome Booklets are available from GDW FREE of charge (postage charged) to give to their new and trial members courtesy of SWALEC.
