Club Discounts
Each year, sports clubs in Wales collectively spend millions on goods and services but now they can reduce that expenditure through the Welsh Sports Association (WSA) Club Preferred Suppliers List.
Providing discounts on anything from sports wear to marquee hire, the WSA Club Preferred Suppliers List enables sports clubs and their members to save money on their core sporting and fundraising activities. The List currently contains offers covering, sports equipment, trophies, sports medicine, sportswear, stationery, printing, marquee hire, event entertainments, musicians and on other event infrastructure.

The list has been compiled by David Cotton from the WSA's Commercial Unit, who says "An equivalent list for the governing bodies has already enabled thousands to be saved. Now it's the opportunity for clubs to benefit from an extended selection of offers. This List represents a range of club benefits unparalleled throughout the UK."

The list can be accessed by clicking here.

Children in Golf Website
A new website produced by the Children in Golf (CiG) Steering Group has been launched. Designed to help the volunteers in golf clubs and golf facilities by providing a useful source of example documentation and advice, it has been launched with the full support of the NSPCC.
The CiG is a parternship of all the main organisations involved in junior golf throughout Britain and Ireland.
Quiz provides the Answers
An enthusiastic and dedicated group of female volunteers from Denbighshire & Flintshire have been instrumental in increasing the number of girl golfers in the region. They started with the simple idea of running a quiz night to raise some funds to provide introductory coaching for local girls and with the help of Golf Development Wales have expanded it into a fully fledged beginners programme which is bearing fruit in the number of girl members at the local golf clubs. For further details, please contact Louise Davis (North Wales Golf Development Officer).
