Would you
like to assist with coaching juniors?
A PGA Level
1 coaching qualification equips enthusiastic helpers at
golf clubs – usually school teachers, junior organisers
and parents - with the basic techniques of the game and
the ability to convey these techniques to the golfing youth
under the direct supervision of a PGA professional.
The 2 day course includes coaching skills and an introduction
to various games, drills and activities compiled to aid
learning. In addition, safety is emphasized within the course
along with how to communicate with and coach children.
Although the course only scratches the surface in terms
of the game’s rudimentary basics, it enables a Level
1 coach to assist in the delivery of a teaching session
under the supervision of a more qualified PGA coach. The
main focus is on keeping the sessions fun and helping to
keep the children motivated.
