08 March 2010

During the annual dinner dance a Cheque was presented to Miriam Williams of Letterston branch of Tenovus. The ladies section of the club hold a Pink day every year to raise awareness of brest cancer. Last year the men were included in the competition and a good days golf was had by all and the sum of £120 was raised for the charity.

Every boxing day Priskilly Forest GC hold a competition for the Air ambulance and together with the small raffle at the dinner dance have accumalated in excess of £200 which will be presented on a Thursday at the club house .

Prsikilly Forest Golf Club are delighted to give back a small token as they have had the benefit of the helicopter landing on 2 occasions to help and transport members to a speedy recovery-once landing on the 9th fairway and one landing on the 2nd green!! (the green was unmarked) and Mike delivered to Withybush hospital and is back playing golf. Having the Ryder Cup come in the helicopter was also an exciting day.

Good Luck to all involved in the Ryder Cup and lets hope for some good weather.
