Maesglas Primary School working to the Golf Passport system

Maesglas Sport Development and Community Volunteers are working to the Golf Passport system and are aiming to get as many of Maesglas Primary School through the entry level of the Golf Passport as possible.

Some of the volunteers have recently completed a Sports Leaders UK qualification within Maesglas Community through their local Sports Development Officer and are on a volunteer pathway within their immediate area, these individuals now organise and run 10 sporting activities through their week and work with Infants and Junior school pupils. This is the first of its kind in Newport to be delivered and also Maesglas Primary School is the only school in Newport to achieve Sports Marc Accreditation for the outstanding work that has been made available to the young people within the school and the community based programme outside of this.
